District Nurses
The District Nurses care for patients who are confined to their home. You may request a visit by telephoning 01334 476840.
The District Nursing Team provides services at home for those patients confined to the house or for those who find it difficult to get out due to recent illness or surgery. In addition to general nursing care, they provide expert advice on leg care and continence issues both in patient’s homes and at the Practice.
Continence Issues
Incontinence is a common problem which is all too often covered up and self managed; often inappropriately. Early intervention increases success of treatment. The District Nurses will do initial assessments for house bound patients, however mobile patients should discuss this issue with the Nurse Practitioner or GP to arrange referral to the Continence clinic.
