University Absence
You do not need to see a GP to get a Medical Certificate for the University. The Practices at the Health Centre and The University have come to an arrangement to minimise the need for you to attend the Practice unless it’s medically necessary.
If you feel your problem requires medical attention then please don’t hesitate to make an appointment.
If you don’t need to see a GP or Nurse then simply submit a Self Certificate.
Please do not make an appointment with a GP or Nurse unless there is a medical need to do so.
If the University does require information from the Practice about your health, they will provide you with a consent form which must be issued and signed by the appropriate person at Student Services before being submitted to the Practice, along with your payment of £35.
